About

USA athletes are highly regarded in the world of lacrosse.  Early development of Lacrosse is essential. Training and using Box skills coupled with knowledge of Field Lacrosse (Field discipline) make these athletes well-rounded “hybrid athletes,” with two skill sets that are characteristic of some of the world’s best players.

US Indoor Lacrosse has taken the responsibility for administering the first United States National Junior Team in Indoor Lacrosse.  We have formed three levels of teams:

>Bantam: Ages 13-14

>Midget: Ages 15-16

>Intermediate: Ages 17-18

The development of the USA Junior teams is the building block for the success of Team USA in the future.

Mission

Our sincere commitment to contribute to the growth and development of the sport of lacrosse, provides guidance, direction, and stability to its players through strong, proactive, and ethical leadership. Our mission is to:

1. Develop the game of lacrosse in the USA in a sustainable manner while preserving

the heritage and integrity of the sport

2. Promote and practice the Fair Play Codes throughout the USA for players, coaches,

referees, volunteers, and spectators.

Philosophy

USIL believes that the athletes most likely to succeed at any level are more than just skilled lacrosse players: They are independent, focused, and equipped to compete – physically, emotionally, and intellectually – at any level. Therefore, USIL supports a team culture of shared training and information, coordinated effort, and independent athlete decision-making. USIL will show the Junior player how to work together as a team to achieve better results and how to make key decisions at key moments.

We believe at every level of our Programs in: WSS
