MISSION:
The USA Lacrosse Championship Camp is dedicated to teaching all players sound fundamental skills and mastery of the basics. The World Team Directors, Coaches & Players accomplish this mission through effective teaching, strong leadership & teamwork.
PROGRAM:
The USA Lacrosse Championship Camp will focus on mastery of skill sets and high repetition drills to improve the player’s performance. We will use our skills as instructors, combined with our years of teaching and lacrosse experience to deliver quality instruction that is relevant to a player’s current skill / talent level. Teaching will include the highest-level instruction and analysis from current USA coaches, and players, pro players, college players and coaches. Campers will learn the Team USA philosophy and National program routines. Topics include throwing, catching and shooting mechanics, individual position skills, in-game situations and lacrosse specific fitness training. Campers will participate in daily scrimmages and practice sessions.
CAMP DIRECTORS & STAFF:
The USA Championship Lacrosse Camps are considered the finest in the country because of our coaching staff. Every coach is dedicated to the personal development and improvement of each player, from beginners to top-level players. Our staff includes World Team Coaches, NLL & MLL Coaches, staff, Team USA Players, NLL & MLL players, College all stars and future pro players.
SAFETY & SUPERVISION:
Safety and supervision is a priority with USIL, all campers will be closely monitored and never left alone, we have strict rules with checking in with the camp in the morning and checking out of the camp in the afternoon. Attendance is taken every morning and after lunch. In addition there is a trainer on site for the duration of the camp. The Lead Directors are CPR, AED and First aid certified in every camp.
AGE & ABILITY GROUPING:
Players in our programs are divided into appropriate age and ability groups. Each player will be evaluated individually and grouped by age, ability and size. As the player progresses during the camp, the staff will continually assess the player. Players will continually change group levels during the camp. Our goal is to ensure the players are in a position to be challenged but not frustrated, contributing to significant skill improvement and a great overall camp experience.
